Project Background: St Meddans Church was built 1888-89 and was designed by the Glasgow Architect John Bennie Wilson. It is a Gothic nave-and-aisles church with an octagonal tower and spire. It contains mostly snecked, squared and bullfaced red sandstone which is believed to originate from Ballochmyle. The Church also contains more detailed Gothic quatrefoil and trefoil windows and has moulded projected courses throughout. The Church also has on all four sides a large cast iron clock dating back to approximately 1751. The clock was originally presented to the Church from Glasgow University and is of key historic significance.

Stone restoration, consolidation, stone carving and conservation works to the West and East elevation of the kirk and to the Church spire and tower.
