Evangelical Church, Glasgow
Built between the years of 1878 and 1880 this Italianate styled church is an impressive and imposing structure situated in Cathedral Square in Glasgow. In 2016 Conservation Masonry were employed both to undertake remedial stone repair works to the existing facade and gable and to undertake structural repairs and re-decoration works to the ornate internal church ceiling and walls. In order to maintain access to the church for some events a high level crash deck was constructed to enclose the works and allow the church to operate at some level of normality. Over a 30 week contract period the church façade and in particular the ornate internal ceiling was returned to their former glory.
